Warsaw, 7 October 2024 – The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and ASTOR have concluded an agreement on the cooperation in preparing Poland’s participation in the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Thus, ASTOR has become a Partner of the Polish Pavilion at this prestigious event. As part of the cooperation, the two organisations will work together to organise ‘Days of Polish Science and Education’, which will showcase Poland’s scientific and innovative potential.

Astorino and World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai – Polish innovation in teaching robotics soon in Japan

Thanks to the signed agreement, ASTOR joins the group of Partners of the Poland Pavilion at Expo 2025 and supports activities to promote Polish innovations on the global stage. As part of the ‘Days of Polish Science and Education’, which will take place from 22-26 April 2025, Astorino robot demonstrations will be held at two stands located in front of the entrance to the Polish Pavilion.

It is a great honour to be able to represent our company, Małopolska and the whole country. Through this project, we have the opportunity to show that Poland is capable of introducing innovations that have the potential to revolutionise the European and global market. Astorino, our flagship solution for teaching robotics, has attracted a lot of interest – also in Japan, which only confirms its uniqueness and value.”

said Adrian Kociarz, ASTOR’s Osaka project manager.

He also underlined the importance of cooperation with PAIH: ‘The signed agreement opens up new opportunities for us and builds positive relations based on common goals.’

By joining the Polish Pavilion Partners at the Expo, ASTOR will also be able to promote its brand and showcase Polish technological solutions that can support the development of the society of the future. At the World Expo, ASTOR will present innovative robotics learning methods to support one of the Exhibition’s three thematic fields: empowering lives and maximising human potential through modern technologies.

The Polish Pavilion – a demonstration of the creativity gene

Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, which will be held under the theme ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’, will focus on ideas related to innovation, sustainability and international cooperation. At Expo Osaka, Poland will present itself in an impressive national pavilion of nearly 1,000 m².

The pavilion stands out for its organic architecture shaped by the creativity of Poles. Its construction, based on natural wood and full of flowing, curving lines, symbolises the unlimited power and dynamism of Polish innovation. In this way, the Pavilion alludes to the crossing of boundaries – both geographical and intellectual.

Eliza Klonowska-Siwak, Deputy Commissioner General of the Polish Section of the World Expo 2025, said:

We are certain that the architecture and unique interiors of the Polish Pavilion will attract the attention of Japanese people and visitors from all over the world. Poland will be presented as a country that combines tradition with modernity and is able to inspire others with its creativity and openness to innovation. Therefore, we will proudly present our achievements in many fields, including those resulting from Polish engineering thought. We are looking forward to working with a company such as ASTOR with Polish capital that offers solutions for the education of the future.

The Polish Pavilion will be the scene not only of technology-based demonstrations, but also of artistic installations that showcase Poland’s cultural heritage from a modern perspective.

Malopolska – a region of tradition and innovation

ASTOR, with its roots in Małopolska, represents this region that dynamically combines its rich heritage with innovative technologies. Andrzej Garbacki, Vice-President of ASTOR, explains:

Our involvement in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai is a confirmation that Polish innovations have real potential to influence the global market. Our solutions, such as Astorino, which Kawasaki Robotics recognised as innovative, are an example of how creativity and tradition can support the development of the education of the future.

Mr. Garbacki also noted that ASTOR’s presence at the World Expo Exhibition is an opportunity to promote Poland, especially Małopolska, as an innovative region open to international cooperation. ‘Poland has always stood out for its adaptability and inventiveness, and our cultural heritage, combined with the latest technologies, gives us a chance to create a future based on flexibility and openness’, he added.

„Poland. Heritage that drives the future”

The theme for Poland’s participation in Expo 2025 is ‘Poland. Heritage that drives the future’. This reflects the characteristics of Polish society as creative, open and imaginative. Poland’s concept for participation in Expo is based on the idea that people are the country’s most important resource – endowed with the gene of creativity, able to seek new solutions and take on the challenges of the modern world.

Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai is implementing three sub-themes: ‘Empowering Lives’, “Connecting Lives” and “Saving Lives”. As a representative of Kawasaki Robotics in Poland and the CEE region, ASTOR fits perfectly into these ideas, offering artificial intelligence and robotics technologies that can support the development of the future society.
